Scott Brown’s campaign calls on Elizabeth Warren to apologize for allowing Harvard to tout her as Native American; Warren refuses

US Senator Scott Brown’s campaign called on Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren Friday to apologize for letting Harvard Law School tout her as a Native American in its attempts to demonstrate faculty diversity in the 1990s. But Warren said she didn’t know Harvard was promoting her that way - until Friday. The Boston Herald reported Friday that Harvard had touted Warren’s Native American background as the school faced criticism for a faculty dominated by white men. Warren’s maternal grandparents both had Native American lineage.

What a bunch of crap. Quoting anything from that rag the Herald is not journalism and anything from Brown's campaign is a lie ie. independant voice, etc. Even the researcher who supposedly traced the lineage admitted that it was difficult to trace. I bet, given that he most likely looked at the 1930/1940 census data which is known for it's error and incomplete records. Let's get to the issues Scott like your lack of support for the middle class, with votes along party lines when it comes to jobs, health care and taxes for the rich.

From a Boston Herald article: "Christopher Child, a genealogist at the New England Historic and Genealogical Society, traced back Warren's family to her great-grandfather on her mother's side and couldn't find any proof of Native American heritage."

Enough of this nonsense! The Brown campaign appears desperate to discredit Warren's accomplishments. Move on!

"According to Boston celebrity genealogist Chris Child, who painstakingly pores over documents searching for connections between notable people at the New England Historic Genealogical Society, the two singers share more than a penchant for reinvention: Lady Gaga and Madonna are related." Stick to the issues Scottie...

tooguns needs to join the Glob's Demomob propaganda mill. But enough of that stuff... the major and really, only, question involved in all this this buffoonery is not about the Boston Herald's very strong legitimacy as a very real newspaper, but whether Harvard Law Professor Elizabeth 'Lizzy' (Herring) Warren claims American Indian (or Native American, if you wish) ancestry, and if so, why so and how so?

no kidding...someone below admonishes the boy senator's campaign to stick to issues. How about explaining your voting record and why you cling to the mitch mcconnel gang of buffons that are not interested in where the country is going? Not to denigrate native American lineage, but seriously little scotty....there are more important things to talk about....but then you may not have a clue about what it is going to cost us next year for oil, how will our children be able to afford college, will you continue to legislate tax reforms.....or best yet....how much will you be taking from the koch brothers to try and retain your weak grasp of this Senate seat held for many years by those more interested in the state of Massachusetts than being in the limelight with your rich republican pals....?

This particular tactic has Eric Fehnstrom all over it. Be careful, Senator Brown, he is a nasty operator who could tarnish your "nice guy" image with stunts like this.
