Former consultant’s event to raise funds for UMass Boston

Peter Berlandi, the political and business consultant who famously helped Republican William F. Weld win the governor’s office in 1990, is being honored Monday at a fund-raiser to benefit UMass Boston. The event is expected to raise over $500,000 for scholarships. Meanwhile, Mitt Romney is building out his campaign staff with some former aides now that he is the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.
