Boston homeowners will have an easier time getting permits for certain home improvement projects this summer, the mayor’s office said Wednesday. Beginning Thursday, the Inspectional Services Department will review permit requests for certain pool, shed, and deck projects within seven days, under an initiative dubbed the “Summer Fast Track Program,’’ Mayor Thomas M. Menino’s office said. Homeowners are asked to file permit applications with the Inspectional Services Department at 1010 Mass. Ave., with documentation outlining the purpose of the project. Homeowners can learn more about the program by calling 617-635-5300 or sending an e-mail to summerprojects.isd@cityofboston.gov.
