Brown’s staff performs balancing act

Video of Senator Scott Brown sinking a half-court basketball shot became a boon to his reelection committee. It was also made possible by the taxpayers. Brown’s government spokeswoman recorded the shot. She also did so as she worked on federal time, staffing the senator at an event he attended in his governmental capacity. And she was in Massachusetts after flying on an airline ticket paid for by the government. It highlights the blurry line between government and campaign activity.
