Menino plays hard to get in Senate race

Brown, Warren courting mayor’s coveted support

Mayor Thomas M. Menino has a history of playing hard to get with Democrats running for statewide office, and he has proved in the past that personality can trump political party. Menino has stated almost unequivocally that he will not break from his party and back Republican Senator Scott Brown’s reelection bid. But Menino has been coy enough about an endorsement of Democrat Elizabeth Warren - smiling slightly as he gives a noncommittal answer - that people keep asking the question. The real issue is whether Menino will push his get-out-the-vote machine for Warren in November, and if it actually matters in a presidential election year when a surge of voters can double the number of ballots cast in Boston.

Ronald Reagan was a charmer too. Loved a good joke, good looking, and the enemy of every urban area in the country. Does anyone seriously believe that the people of Dorchester, South Boston, Roslindale, or East Boston have been the focus of Scott Brown's affections, either on Beacon Hill or Capital Hill? Does he care in his heart if their health is threatened, if they are the victims of predatory lending, trickster credit card operations, or if they need extra educational help through a community college or UMass? Scott Brown is not a bad man, he's just a prima donna on the make. When push comes to shove, he and Mitch McConnell would slit the fiscal throat of the City of Boston without a second thought or a twinge of guilt...on his way to divine suburban golf divine course (it wouldn't be the Devine golf course in Franklin Park).

I hope Scott stays away from "Mumbles" it could be death for him at election time because Mumbles is known to hang out with criminal elements like Wilson and Turner and the whole Dumbocratic criminal enterprise here in Mass. It will look bad for Scott. "Mumbalito" is realy a Mexican but he keeps it a secret.

Menino needs to do the responsible thing and support Warren.

this blithering nitwit mayor doesn't have the stones to back brown. as for his supposed organization. it's good for one thing and one thing only and thats to keep his own squalid butt in office. or as they say in swedish. mayor nitwits organization was tried and found vaunting. ma
