Six people were displaced by a two-alarm fire that gutted a Haverhill home early Saturday, according to fire officials and a Red Cross spokesperson. No one was injured in the fire at the three-family home, said Haverhill firefighter Justin Borden, but the house was left uninhabitable. Firefighters from Haverhill, Lawrence, and Plaistow, N.H, responded at 1:48 a.m. to the home at 98 Fountain St., said Borden. The fire appears to have started in the basement, he said, though inspectors have not determined a cause.
