The state gambling commission has become bogged down in “distractions,’’ just one month after beginning its work, hobbling the panel in its main mission to license up to three gambling resorts and one slot parlor, Governor Deval Patrick said Thursday. The governor, in speaking with reporters, seemed agitated by the week-long controversy surrounding the commission’s hire last week of a Patrick administration official, C. Stan McGee, who was accused of child sexual assault at a Florida resort in 2007.

Perhaps the hug should remember Grossman is also a state wide elected officer, not his assistant. Perhaps he should also query whether he has a child abuser on his staff and why.
You should have realized this before hiring him, he was accused of child sexual assault, HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
"Patrick aides insisted that neither they nor the governor pushed Crosby to hire McGee" means nothing. I want to hear the governor himself say he had no part in pushing the hiring of McGee. Furthermore the commission has no plans to fill this position. What is going on here?
Are we shocked that yet another MA government commission has been floundering around. To their credit at least they haven't taken too long at reaching their level of ineptitude. As for the governor, stay home and pay attention to state business please.
