Boston investigates MCAS testing ‘irregularity’ at Gardner Pilot Academy

The Boston public schools is investigating a report of an MCAS testing irregularity Wednesday at the Gardner Pilot Academy, prompting a staff member to be placed on paid administrative leave. Boston school officials disclosed few details about the incident at the Allston elementary school. In a letter sent home to parents today, Superintendent Carol R. Johnson characterized the investigation as “preliminary’’ and “confidential,’’ noting the School Department immediately contacted the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education when it received the report.
