Bystanders rescue young boy from Chatham Bars Inn pool

A young child was pulled from the bottom of a pool at the Chatham Bars Inn in Chatham Saturday afternoon, according to the Chatham Fire Department. The 4-year-old boy was rescued from the pool by bystanders who also performed CPR before fire department personel arrived on scene around 2 p.m., said Nick Ruggiere, a Chatham firefighter. The boy was transported to Cape Cod Hospital, and then moved to Children’s Hospital Boston, he said.
