Everett police arrest two men after standoff ends peacefully; police alerted by victim texting to 911 dispatcher

Everett police arrested two men on drug charges Tuesday night – after a third man texted State Police that he was being held captive inside a Central Avenue apartment and could not speak out loud. The incident began around 6 p.m. when the unidentified third man used his cellphone to dial 911 and was connected to the State Police dispatch center in Framingham as routinely happens, Everett police said in a statement.
