Bridgewater woman dies after being found unconscious in pool

A woman died Friday night after being found unconscious in her pool, Bridgewater police said. Police officers and firefighters responded to a call at about 6:20 p.m. reporting “an elderly female” found unconscious in the pool, Lieutenant Thomas Schlatz said in a statement. Neighbors were attempting to resuscitate the woman when emergency responders arrived and began rescue efforts, Schlatz said. The department is not releasing her name or address until authorities notify next of kin.
