William Kelly, 88, ran department store in Medfield

Bill Kelly kept one job his entire life. He was 17 when he delivered fliers announcing the opening of Lord’s store in Medfield, where he became a partner and then the owner, serving customers for more than 70 years. “You talk to people from outside Medfield and they say, ‘What are you talking about? It’s just a store.’ Well, it’s just so much more,’’ said his friend Richard DeSorgher, a retired Medfield High history teacher. “This guy put his life and his passion into it.’’
