Aquinnah present casino plans before residents

Residents say details on Route 140 sparse

The Wampanoag Tribe of Aquinnah on Tuesday unveiled its plans for a $167-million tribal casino in Southeastern Massachusetts that would include a hotel, retail space and a buffer zone isolating it from residential areas of Lakeville and Freetown. Tribal representatives and their developers appeared before more than 500 people at a packed high school auditorium Tuesday night, spending more than an hour showing the audience photos of casinos from around the country, but offering few details.
