Rajon Rondo leads Celtics on to Miami

Triple-double caps a creaky series

There were moments when it looked like the glorious run of the New Big Three might be over.

Not yet. There’s at least one more round of playoffs for the Old Bones of Causeway Street. In a series that could have been sponsored by John Deere or Black & Decker, the Celtics defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, 85-75, in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals at the Garden on Saturday night. Boston’s Wheez Kids live to play another day. Time to bring on LeBron James and the Miami Heat, starting Monday night at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Lets cheer on a Celtics team that has shown tenacity, grit, and determination despite being aged and decrepit. This is bonus time for fans. Lets see if they can actually get to the NBA finals...what a coup that would be for the big three. Yeah.......

This team is a joke. 4 yrs ago they would've absolutely ripped this Philly team apart. That game last night was an embarrassment to the game of basketball. Does anybody in their right mind think either of those 2 teams would've beat a healthy Chicago? No way in hell. If Danny's smart he absolutely takes a blowtorch to this roster this summer, They're not true title contenders anymore and if they bring Ray & KG back they're just putting the rebuilding project off even further.
