Despite a five-week drubbing over her claims to Native American heritage, Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren remains neck and neck with US Senator Scott Brown, a Republican, as she heads into Saturday’s state party convention, a new Globe poll shows.
But there are signs that the controversy has wounded the first-time candidate, whose entrance into the race came with a star power that galvanized Democrats and catapulted the contest into one of the most closely watched in the nation.

A BOSTOB GLOBE Poll? Scott Brown doesn't have anything to worry about.
The same " Globe Poll" that had Coakley beating Brown? Their credibilty as an independent source is invalid and corrupt.
I see that the Dems are requiring a Photo ID for delegates and guests in Springfield. No worries of disenfranchisement? It's very important to make sure only actual delegates vote in Springfield, but there isn't a problem with opening the floodgates to voter fraud in national elections?

Nice headline. Brown is leading, but instead of simply saying that, the headline stresses that Warren in right on Brown's heels despite the "Cherokee" issue. Way to put a positive spin on it for the candidate your favor, Globe! Way to not even bother trying to hide your bias.
only in MA. Everyone cries for bipartisanship and we have a Senator that does so, as opposed to our Senior Senator (whose wife's foundation is supporting a domestic terrorist)who votes lock step w/ Dems. She would be a puppet for Reid. Just like Kennedy v. Bielat.
Since delegates are elected representatives and pay a registration fee, having them show credentials seems reasonable. What I'm struggling to understand is how the Mass. GOP caninvalidate ballots cast for Ron Paul over Romney. It seems very Soviet, no? http://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2012/05/27/mass-gop-move-invalidate-caucus-ballots/AA7spH6RjTT4Jz2F7JceMN/story.html
Hang in there Liz. The Herald is trying to "Murdoch" you. You have to become more public on the real issues. Bring out where you stand with us regular folks. That you will represent us against these Cartels of power that are killing the U.S. middle class and our ability to get ahead. That you will modernize the social welfare systems, streamline them so they will be there when needed, but rout out the Waste, Fraud and Abuse. The regular folks need you to standup to make the U.S. great again!
What are the signs by which one determines that a democrat candidacy like Elizabeth Warren's in an overwhelmingly democrat state like the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is in trouble? There are a number of them shining through the double-talk and GlobeSpin of this article, which features a propaganda photo of the radiant Cherokee Professor-Princess absorbing the adoring looks of white, ethnic, blue-collar guys in BC Eagles t-shirts. One sign is that the headline iteself, "Elizabeth Warren on Scott Brown's heels in Globe poll", and sub-headline, "Challenger trails by 2 points despite heritage questions", puts one in mind of another famous Globe headline: "Coakley in Solid Lead Over Brown" published only days before the Scott heard round the world. Another is the fact that, five month's out, the race is even as close as the Globe story suggests. (In fact, I suspect that Brown, who consistently outperforms his polls as he did his race against Coakley, is actually well ahead of Warren and pulling further ahead.) Still another is the critical "likeability" gap, decidedly in Browns favor: 52 to 26. (Anyone meeting both candidates comes away with the impression that "everyman" Brown is simply more likable than Warren, who appears at once too frantic and too condescending.) Then there is the leitmotif that won't go away: compelling evidence that Elizabeth Warren used false claims to gain real or perceived advantages that our victim-besotted culture uniquely bestows upon minorities. To date this evidence has been (how to say it?) insufficiently rebutted by the "brilliant" Native American law professor. Worse (if that's possible), her attempts at explanation have given new meaning to the phrase "speaking with forked-tongue". Finally, even had Warren been able forthrightly to explain her box checking, there is a growing body of evidence that, in these challenging times, more and more voters have grown disenchanted with affirmative action as a social engineering device. This evolving view has gained impetus under a President who provides almost daily reminders of the hazards that ensue when one's advancement comes about as a result of race rather than competence.
Democrat lemmings can't help themselves. They are suckers for the empty suit, identity politics charlatans, who believe in statism, like Pentecostals do, in a faith healer at a tent revival. They should be very proud when they elect Warren. A rubber stamp for minority Leader, Harry Reid. Conversely, President Romney will find a good spot for the refreshingly independent and less ideologically rigid, Brown, should he not choose to run for governor, or Kerry's seat in '14.
Didn't the Globe 'mess-up' the polling results on Coakley & Brown . . . and what about the Globe N.H. poll results regarding Obama & Hillary? The Globe polling results have a track record of inaccuracy - what more is there to say about this article, besides it is probably wrong. Anyone who has read the latest news about Warren's outright lies are skeptical of the Democratic party's 'golden girl.'
Brown's victory over Martha was an aberration, facilitated by a number of factors that won't happen in the next election (Martha's lousy campaign, low voter turnout, etc.). Massachusetts voters support Democrats and only Democrats for Congress. If Winston Churchhill were a Republican running against Adolph Hitler, a Democrat, Adolph would win. That's just the way it is in Massachusetts. If Granny runs a good campaign, Brown is toast.
More Liz Warren campaign literature disguised as a news story. Let's count the number of times her name show up in a BG headline from now until the election.
