For those keeping score at home, US Senator Scott Brown, a Republican, has accepted three debate invitations, while Elizabeth Warren, his Democratic challenger, has yet to commit. Her campaign has indicated a willingness to debate, but said it would like to negotiate the terms.

In the latest round, Brown said today he would go on television in September with WBZ’s Jon Keller, one of several media hosts inviting the candidates to a clash-fest.

Brown said on Sunday and Monday that he would go on the radio with WBZ’s Dan Rea and WTKK’s Jim Braude and Margery Eagan.

“Elections are fundamentally about differences on policy issues, and voters deserve to know where their candidates stand,” Brown said in a statement today. “I believe we should keep taxes low, rein in government debt and spending and implement pro-growth policies that will spur job creation and put people back to work. My opponent wants to raise taxes and increase spending, which will hurt jobs. That’s why I am pleased to accept this TV debate offer so that Massachusetts voters will be able to see these differences for themselves.”

The Warren campaign did not immediately respond to the latest challenge.

Warren’s spokeswoman, Alethea Harney, released a statement Monday saying the Democrat looks forward to tangling with Brown.

“We have received more than a dozen requests from potential hosts across Massachusetts,” Harney said. “Since the convention, we’ve heard from other organizations that plan on submitting requests soon. We look forward to discussing these opportunities with Scott Brown’s campaign and reached out to them today on the subject. We have yet to hear back from them.”
