Adrian Mims had moved steadily up the ranks at Brookline High: from tutor to teacher to dean. But his rise came to an abrupt halt a few months ago, when he was not selected as a finalist for the headmaster vacancy at one of the state’s most prestigious public high schools. He maintains that process was rigged against him, and has filed a complaint with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
