State Police say two deaths in North Branford over the weekend were the results of a shooting of a woman by her husband, who then fatally shot himself. Police said Tuesday that the medical examiner had determined that Exsell Negron shot and killed his 39-year-old wife, Meredith, and fatally shot himself Saturday night. Police said the Negron, 41, also shot his father-in-law, Richard Fletcher, in the abdomen. A spokeswoman for Yale-New Haven Hospital said the 70-year-old Fletcher remained in fair condition Tuesday. North Branford police said Saturday that the shooting resulted from a domestic dispute. The Negrons and Fletcher shared the North Branford house.
