Cape Cod betting ring leaders lauded by prosecutors for their cooperation in probe

Federal prosecutors are asking a judge for leniency in sentencing three men who admitted running an illegal sports betting ring on Cape Cod, citing information the men provided that implicated Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe and others in wrongdoing. O’Keefe has not been charged in connection with the case and has denied allegations of telling a close friend to warn the men — Adam Hart, William Neofotistos, and Timothy Reardon — that police were investigating their betting operation.
