Car chase ends on foot in Kendall Square Station as suspect arrested

A man was arrested during rush hour Wednesday after leading police on a chase that wound through Cambridge and Boston, State Police said. Leroy Martin, 34, of Brighton, was pulled over as part of a firearms investigation, when he sped off, said State Police spokesman David Procopio. Martin led authorities on about a half-hour chase, involving a state trooper firing his weapon at the vehicle on Broadway in Cambridge, and ending in Martin’s arrest at the Kendall MBTA station, said Procopio. No one was injured in the chase. Martin is expected to be arraigned in Chelsea District Court Thursday on charges including possession of a firearm and motor vehicle violations, said Procopio.
