A man in his late 20s was shot in the stomach outside a multi-family home in Quincy on Sunday night according to police.
The man was shot once at around 8:30 p.m., according to Lieutenant Jeffrey Burrell, in a driveway connected to 127 Federal Ave. He was taken to Boston Medical Center, said Burrell, and is expected to survive. Burrell declined to name the victim.
“I heard a bunch of yelling and screaming,” said Diane Coska, who lives across the street and was home at the time of the shooting. When she looked out her window, she said, she saw two boys who appeared to be 16 or 17 years old running down the street.
Police were searching for two suspects, Burrell said, but as of late Sunday had not made any arrests. Officers searched backyards on the street with flashlights and a canine unit as neighbors watched from their yards.
Coska said she has called police several times to report fights at No. 127, and said she couldn’t count the number of times she’d seen police at the residence.
Burrell said that police had been to the address four times on Sunday for a dispute between neighbors.
