A Boston man has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash Wednesday night on VFW Parkway in West Roxbury, State Police said Thursday. Donovan J. Bartee, 25, was riding a 2007 Yamaha R6 motorcycle on the outbound side of the parkway around 7:20 Wednesday evening when he collided with a 2011 Honda Ridgeline pickup truck, State Police said. The cause of the crash is under investigation by State Police, officials said. Bartee was pinned under the truck and had to be extricated by the Boston Fire Department, State Police said. He was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
