A black bear was seen strolling the streets of Medfield on Saturday, police said in a statement. The bear was spotted in the areas of South Street, Granite Street, Indian Hill Road, and Orchard Street. Police asked residents to keep a close watch on pet dogs, and to not disturb the bear. “Following the animal in order to provide location updates is not advised, as this will stress the animal and may force it into traffic where it can be injured,” the statement said. “The bear wants to be left alone and in most situations will fade back in the woods.”
