A woman has surrendered to authorities in connection with an attempted purse grabbing in Lynn on May 2 that was captured on a surveillance camera, Lynn police said.

Dina Martorano, 42, turned herself in at the Lynn Police Station late Thursday, Lynn police Lieutenant Christopher Kelly identified her as the suspect in the video and said she will be arraigned in Lynn District Court today.

Earlier this week, Lynn police released a video they said depicted a woman attempting to rip the purse from a woman leaving Lynnway Liquors on May 2. The purse’s contents spilled during the tussle, but the assailant did not leave with the purse, police said.
