Police in Tilton said they have broken up a major organized retail crime ring spanning several states. WMUR-TV reported that three men from Brooklyn, N.Y., were arrested, but a fourth man escaped as police swarmed the Staples store in Tilton late Friday. The suspects are wanted in the theft of toner cartridges from Staples stores in at least four New England states, including New Hampshire. When the four suspects walked into the Staples in Tilton on Friday night, the store was expecting them. (AP)
