Woman dead after Mass. Turnpike crash


A 26-year-old Worcester woman was killed, and two men were injured when their car rolled over on the Massachusetts Turnpike Monday. State Police said their preliminary investigation indicated that the woman was driving the car when the accident happened in Charlton at about 11 a.m. Police said she was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, where she died. A 24-year-old man from Worcester and a 27-year-old man from Millville were being treated Monday night at UMass Medical. Police said the car rolled over in the westbound left lane, ejecting one person and trapping another person who had to be extricated. Police did not release the names of the victims.
