Brockton driver faces homicide charge in June 16 accident

The 26-year-old Brockton man who was in a June 16 auto accident that killed a Wareham man is facing several charges, including motor vehicle homicide, State Police said. Phendy Pamphile was driving the wrong way on Interstate 495 in Wareham when he crashed into Christopher Elicier, 43, about 10:20 p.m., State Police said. Elicier was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Pamphile was taken to Tobey Hospital in Wareham with a serious leg injury and was later moved to Rhode Island Hospital.
