A 21-year-old male was shot on a porch in Dorchester late Saturday night and was taken to Boston Medical Center for surgery, police said.

The unidentified victim was on the porch of a triple-decker at 14 Danube St. with a group of people when two suspects began firing shots, said Boston Police Sergeant Thomas O’Leary. Police responded to the scene shortly before 10:30 p.m. and found the victim was shot once in the lower abdomen, said O’Leary, who did not have information about the victim’s condition.

The suspects were still at large, he said.
