A 2-year-old girl died after being hit by a vehicle in Saugus on Sunday. Saugus Police responded to the scene around 2 p.m. before taking the girl to Massachusetts General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead just before 3 p.m., said assistant chief Leonard Campanello. The accident is under preliminary investigation, Campanello said.
