Autopsy results released for Litchfield, N.H., man shot, killed by police

An autopsy shows a 35-year-old man killed by a police officer died of a single gunshot wound to the back that perforated his lung. Attorney General Michael Delaney said Jason Lagueux was shot on the front porch of his residence in Litchfield Monday afternoon. Delaney said the manner of death was determined to be a homicide.

Officers were called to the Page Road home after neighbors reported hearing gunshots. Police said that when officers arrived, they found Lagueux armed on the porch. A confrontation ensued, and Lagueux was shot by an officer. Lagueux was treated at the scene and then taken to a hospital, where he died.

The attorney general’s office is investigating the shooting. No officers were injured.
