Back Bay residents angered over keying of 40 vehicles
Boston police are investigating reports of multiple cars being “keyed” in the city’s Back Bay section, a police spokeswoman said today. The cars were keyed on Back Street, which is in the rear of 416 Beacon St., said Officer Nicole Grant. No further information was immediately available. Keying is when a sharp object (such as a key) is used to scratch the paint on a car. Back Street is the small road that runs parallel to Storrow Drive behind the buildings on Beacon Street in the area.
