Lowell teens fight for right to vote

Bob DeLeo has served in the Legislature for a long time, and he isn't easily impressed by a group of lobbyists.

If you're 17 and have a high school diploma, sure, you can vote.

Sure those activist kids would make good voters but most teens would be more lumpen moron voters. Voting mainly for more free stuff for them. This is a bad idea.

This bill is absurd and an article should not be devoted to this issue but in checking the name of staff writer it doesn't surprise me.

Actually this is a terrible idea. Of course the kids are going to vote in favor of higher school spending and recreation. Why wouldn't they? They aren't paying for any of it.

Every 17 year old should get to vote on property tax increases...weren't we just talking about that they can murder people because their impulse control and brain development aren't fully formed? Can't have it both ways.
