A man drowned while kayaking with his 10-year-old niece Sunday morning, according to the Fire Department. The drowning occurred off Old Silver Beach, behind the Sea Crest Beach Hotel in North Falmouth about 9:54 a.m., according to Deputy Fire Chief Michael Small. The unidentified man was taken to Falmouth Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The girl was unharmed.
