Michael R. Bloomberg, the billionaire mayor of New York, waded into one of the nation’s fiercest Senate races and threw his financial and rhetorical support behind Senator Scott Brown on Thursday, praising Brown’s defiance of the National Rifle Association on its top legislative priority.
The “biggest reason” the mayor decided to support Brown was the senator’s opposition to the National Right-To-Carry Reciprocity Act, which would allow gun owners to carry concealed weapons across state lines, said Stu Loeser, a Bloomberg spokesman.

Another bad day for Professor Warren. First Bloomberg supports Sen. Brown and today another Democrat Ray Flynn supports him. My guess is that tomorrow it will be Mayor Menino going all in for Sen. Brown. The only endorsements she gets are from moonbats on the left coast or maybe a has been Kennedy; not the ones that will REALLY count!
It figures that scotty boy would seek an endorsement from a very welthy wall street New Yorker a day after voting against a middle class tax cut. Just another example that the poster boy does not represent the people of Mass. but is in lock step with Wall St.
Bloomberg's opinion doesn't carry any weight with me. Scott Brown voted _yesterday_ against a middle class tax cut.
We are the hollow men We are the stuffed men Leaning together Headpiece filled with straw. Alas! Our dried voices, when We whisper together Are quiet and meaningless As wind in dry grass Or rats' feet over broken glass In our dry cellar Shape without form, shade without colour, Paralysed force, gesture without motion; Those who have crossed With direct eyes, to death's other Kingdom Remember us - if at all - not as lost Violent souls, but only As the hollow men The stuffed men.
Go Senator Scott Brown ****** Good luck. Nothing the matter with getting the support of someone who is successful, rich and a Massachusetts native!
I like Bloomberg for many reasons but on his support for Brown because of Brown's stance on Gun Control which taken in its entirety would allow the sale of automatic assault weapons.....which is so wrong for so many reasons and not right for any. Bloomberg has lost a lot of my admiration for his stance on this issue and in general if this is the way a mayor of the city of NY believes. This has to be a major problem in the big apple....and shame on him for supporting Brown over the much more capable and representative of Boston, Professor Elizabeth Warren, a most distinguished and capable candidate who would make a magnificent Senator from Massachusetts.
Mr. Bloomberg, a gun control advacate, endorses Scott Brown who supports repeal of federal gun control of assault weapons. It's OK to kill someone with a machine gun if it is brought on the other side of a line drawn on a map. Who are they kidding? This has more to do with breaks for big banks and big earners than guns, and Bloomberg knows it. Look at Brown's last votes. Don't be fooled.
It is sad that Mayor Bloomberg failed to support Elizabeth Warren given the fact that her fellow Indians were instrumental in the sale of Manhattan to the Dutch. Oh wait, Liz is not an Indian, right?
