Victim of Colo. shooting returns home
A Connecticut survivor of the mass shootings in Aurora, Colo., has returned home and his mother says he will raise money to help other victims. Stephen Barton of Southbury and his family returned from the Denver area on Thursday. The Hartford Courant reports that the 22-year-old Barton underwent surgery to remove shotgun pellets in his neck and arms. He was one of 58 people wounded July 20 when a gunman opened fire in a theater during a screening of the latest Batman film.
