Officials with three nonpartisan open-government groups said this week that the House Committee on Ethics should investigate whether US Representative John F. Tierney was required to publicly disclose more than $200,000 that his wife received while managing a bank account with money that came from her brother’s illegal gambling business.
Tierney, an eight-term Democrat locked in a tough reelection fight, has not listed the money on financial disclosure forms that members of Congress file annually, asserting that the money was a gift from a relative and therefore exempt from federal reporting requirements.

I'm an Unenrolled Massachusetts, hence Independent, voter who tends to support and vote for liberal candidates. I'm not in Mr. Tierney's district. I'll be voting for Nicki Tsongas. I'm expressing my viewpoint as a Massachusetts citizen about Mr. Tierney. Exit stage left, pun intended. It just might be cleansing for the Democratic Party if Mr. Tierney is defeated by a Republican this time around. The clinging to power by members of both parties is somewhat obscene. Especially when money is involved.
"I did a lot of work" The Congressman expects us to believe his wife received "gifts" for doing work. How gullible does he think Massachusetts voters are? Ok that might be a dumb question.
Hope that the electorate can see through this fraud and crook. He should be in the slammer with his convicted felon wife. Just wondering when the Globe is going to endorse this reprobate?
He's become the skunk at the garden party. He's toast and everyone knows it. This is just the last nail in the coffin. It was a mediocre run, but it's over.

If I lived in his district, as a democrat I'd vote the guy out! He smells of corruption!
