STAMFORD, Vt. — A Massachusetts man was arrested in the Vermont woods early Saturday morning after assaulting both his wife and his sister, Vermont State Police said. David Fachini, 22, of Williamstown was arrested around 1 a.m. in the woods off Risky Ranch Road in Stamford, Vt., State Trooper Lewis Hatch said in an e-mail. Fachini punched both women in the face, causing injuries, police said, but both refused medical attention. Fachini was transported to the Bennington Police Department in Vermont and processed on two misdemeanor counts of domestic assault. He was held on $5,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Bennington County Criminal Court on Monday.
