I'll tell you why it's not working. The campaign of "Hope & Change" has now turned into "Hatred & Desperation".

Its why he's pushing for the deportation deferrals and to give licenses to the illegals... Wants to try and buy as many votes - legal or illegal - as possible...

When was that picture taken? Does it really show a shiny black bus with the presidential seal on it? Is this a Secret Service provided vehicle, which probably means an Air Force Cargo jet transports it around for his "protection"? What does this cost? Who pays, taxpayers or campaign funds? Does the VP get the same? If it is a Secret Service requirement, when did it begin? Kennedy, Johnson, Reagan, Clinton, a Bush? Seems a little over the top to me.

"To be or not to be, that is the question". It's not about being a Democrat. To be a Democrat used to mean siding with many good, worthwhile working class people. For this election, to be means being an Obama believer. It's hard to find new ones who are employed, own businesses or have not recently crossed the Rio Grande River with a back pack. Believers are mostly already registered to vote and wouldn't change their minds if Obama decided to move in with Hugo Chavez as his V.P. It is really odd to speak with "believers" who seem unaware of their current prospects. For instance, the Kittery Naval Shipyard in Maine houses workers who believe Mr. Obama is their best bet for future employment. This in light of the last four years of crashing, crushing military downsizing and defunding by his military czar. Next up is a huge reduction in the military budget. Reductions in force is bleeding thousands of "up or out" officers and enlisted members into the lines of the unemployed. Kittery's Shipyard is next up and will close or be reduced in size withing the next 4 years if Mr. Obama is reelected. But they are "believers" and they live on Hope and change.

************************If these ILLEGAL ALIENS go to city hall with a social security number, an electric bill or a drivers license what prevents them from getting a ballot. Do not forget--THEY ARE ILLEGAL. Will it be racial profiling to ask for citizenship papers? Again--THEY ARE ILLEGAL. Was this a cynical move by Pres. Obama to GET more votes? Does he care if ILLEGALS VOTE if they VOTE FOR HIM?

Obama should be running against the republican controlled congress! He should be saying "Give me a congress I can work with, a congress that will put Americans back to work, a congress that doesn't only represent the wealthiest among us, a congress that doesn't play brinkmanship with the economy! A congress that doesn't risk the full faith and credit of the united states!" etc.

If you want to reduce the deficit, if you want smaller government, this is what it looks like. It is magical thinking to expect smaller government does not mean job losses. The Pentagon itself has told Congress many times which projects are not needed, but individual members consistently fight for programs in their districts. I understand why they do this, but it is not in the best interest of the country overall. It would be better to spend the federal money on infrastructure projects that would benefit everyone for real.

Isn't it always the case, aburgman. Thecpt has no clue that the federal government has absolutely nothing to do with driving licenses. And he'll not only continue in his ignorance, but he and others in the knownothing class will repeat their baseless assertions ad naseum until you have 35 to 40% of the population absolutely believing it's true -- the Republican base. Obama's a Muslim, he was born in Kenya, he's steeped in African anti-British colonialism, he's an angry black man Chicago thug ..... and on and on.
