Police said a clerk at a convenience store in East Hartford was fatally shot in a robbery. A man who had been shot in the chest was found when police responded Saturday night. He was declared dead at the scene. An undetermined amount of cash was taken. No details were immediately available. The victim’s identity will not be released until his family is notified, police said.
