Elizabeth Warren outdoes Scott Brown in fund-raising

Democrat Elizabeth Warren continued to raise more money than her Republican opponent, Senator Scott Brown, taking in $3.7 million to his $2.3 million over the last six weeks, according to federal records released Monday.

Brown, however, still has more money in the bank — $14.2 million to Warren’s $12.3 million, as the candidates head into the closing months of what has become the nation’s most expensive congressional race.

OOh goody! Elizabeth has more money than Scott.

Glad to hear that Brown "supports abortion rights" even though he voted with the Republicans on the Blount-Rubio Amendment to let employers deny reproductive health coverage to their employees if they felt like it. Definitely a man of strong core beliefs and principles; reminds of Mitt Romney!

So, Brown has raised more LARGE donations within Massachusetts than Warren, while if we subtract the $7M that Brown left over from 2010 from his current total of $14.2M, we find that Warren has gotten $5M more in donations during this campaign. Warren has more donations overall vs. more LARGE donations for Mr-Brown-Goes-To-Washington. Could it be any clearer that Warren has more general support in Massachusetts than Brown could ever hope for?

Way to go Elizabeth. I am so glad that you stuck it to the banks so they could turn it around and stick it to us with removal of free chcking and higher fees, etc. Many of the banks deserved some type of punishment, but couldn't she think it through to see where it will end up? If you win you will be perfect in Washington. Another poll who is for the middle class but ends up killing them with deficits, wars, and worried about their next election.

@dugie9. You have a lot of reading to do to stay on this topic. Your approach of complaining about checking fees while ignoring hidden ones is just naive. For instance, Capital One was the first business penalized under the Consumer Protection Law which Elizabeth Warren conceptualized and formed. Two weeks ago, Capital One (What's In Your Wallet?) settled with the government for over $210 million dollars! You can read about it in the Wall St. Journal. You must have missed it the first time, so I'm including a link: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702304217904577534782507899336.html As for the middle class ending up killing itself with deficits, wars and worried about the next election, the administration of GW Bush comes to mind. Hardly middle class. http://www.consumerfinancelawblog.com/articles/consumer-financial-protection/

If an individual contibutes to the Warren campaign.....then takes back their donation, does that make them an Indian giver?

It doesn't say in this article where Liz's money is coming from. I am assuming, since they didn't say, that this new money is coming from out of state. Sorry but it does no good for the candidate as far as pulling votes your way.

No, it is not any clearer. It has been proven that the bulk of Warren's money is coming from out of state. Now, this article doesn't mention that this is in state or out of state money, and this being the Globe, I'm guessing this new money is also mostly from out of state. And, I very much disagree with this statement: "Warren has more general support in Massachusetts than Brown could ever hope for?" I don't see that at all.

This article didn't intend to harm Liz Warren but it has!!!    'Elizabeth Warren, has drawn support primarily from universities, law firms, and left-leaning political groups'--------NOTICE, she isn't getting money from people who create jobs, she's only getting money from people who read about other people creating jobs!!!!!!  Notice, she isn't getting money from job creators, she is getting money from lawyers and professors; two groups of people that are perhaps the MOST REMOVED FROM NORMAL LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!   Have you noticed how many jobs universities, law firms, and left-leaning groups have created the past four years, or forty years?  NOT MANY!  And yes, Liz's money is from out-of-state; no one here is giving her money.

"reproductive Health coverage" - are you saying birth control? If so, please just say so. I agree with the conscience clause. And please - this election will not be won or lost on these faux outrage issues. As James Carville said; "its the economy, stupid".
