Zeke, the missing turtle, reunited with Beverly family

After 30 days on the lam, massive media coverage, and the best efforts of a specially trained reptile-hunting dog, Zeke the turtle has been found in a Beverly backyard. He had traveled 1,000 feet and was discovered by a neighbor who wondered why his golden retriever was barking at a rock.

Zeke’s story captured the public’s attention after he escaped from the home of the Young family, which has owned the Eastern box turtle for 31 years. He made his slow getaway after the Youngs' cat, a naughty old fella named Bad Boy, opened the screen door to their backyard deck.

The Boston Glob has managed to redefine August as the moronic season, named for the bimbo editors that have friends whose cat leaves the door open so the turtle can wander out.  Only a moron would care about such idiocy. BTW, did the cat get put down the cellar with no supper for three days?

I have been following the articles on Zeke as much as possible. Glad Zeke did not make it to Fort Lauderdale, Hurricane Isaac was bothering us for a while.

As for boatwrote, it is time to set sail alone and keep on going.  You sound so old and broken down!

Love Zeke, and Billy's telling of the story.  Only thing missing is a picture of "Bad Boy," AKA "the cat who named himself."
