A woman’s body was found floating in Jamaica Pond this morning, and Boston police are trying to determine the circumstances of her death, authorities said.

The body was found at 7:41 a.m. today in the pond in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood, Boston police spokeswoman Nicole Grant said. The body has been recovered.

Officials said the woman was wearing black shorts and a yellow top.

No further information was immediately available.

The homicide unit is investigating the death.
