A Vermont man who won a $3 million jackpot from the New York State Lottery said he is not sure yet how he will spend it — but he has no plans to quit his job. James Jess of North Bennington works at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center’s health information services department. He said the money ‘‘will make life a little better all around.’’ The Bennington Banner reported that Jess, 62, bought his winning Bonanza scratch ticket from the Stewart’s Shop on Route 67 in North Hoosick on Aug. 10. He claimed the prize on Aug. 13. Jess said he scratched the ticket in the store and had the clerk scan it.
