It is great! But why should students and parents find out it only from the Globe? It looks like BPS forgot to inform parents about free breakfast for all students.
All students ? No one would ever question feeding truly needy students, but ALL ? A troubling development in the sad but real sense that " There goes the family ". Where is the parental responsibility here ? This is one more discouraging sign of the continual growth of the Entitlement Society. Welcome to Barry's World !!! As Margaret Thatcher so eloquently said , " The trouble with Socialism is you eventually run out of the other guy's money " !!!
Every child should have a good meal before starting class.
What is not mentioned in the article is waste. Food not eaten is thrown away. There should be some program that makes sure that unopened containors of food is given to the hungry. Right now the policy is to throw it away.
I am a parent, therefore I am responsible for feeding my children.
Some families need help, give it to them.
Nothing is Free.
Ilike to see my tax money go toward things that actually benefit people.Feeding children is certaunly a worthy cause. Billions are given for corporate subsidies. I'd like to see kids get really healthy food.I hope that is what they're getting.
