Gov. Patrick announced that David Meier, a former Suffolk County homicide prosecutor now in private practice, will lead the central office set up to oversee a review of the thousands of criminal cases impacted by the scandal in the Department of Public Health drug lab. “With his extensive experience on both sides of the bar and proven commitment to the fair administration of justice in the Commonwealth, David Meier is the perfect person to undertake this critical task,” Patrick said in a statement.
