Brown ad focuses on bipartisan theme

In a new television ad, Senator Scott Brown again takes to his truck, this time emphasizing the importance of bipartisanship, while continuing his push for women voters.

The latest 30-second spot, which will begin airing Monday, features Brown driving to the Shrewsbury home of Diane Gilfoy-Henry, an unemployed single mother, for a conversation at her kitchen table.

Comments

Brown has repeatedly voted against bills to create and preserve thousands of jobs in Massachusetts.

Link to several paragraphs of explanation of the jobs acts and bills Scott Brown voted against.

Excerpt:

Brown voted to filibuster the American Jobs Act (Senate vote #160, 10/11/2011; S. 1660), the comprehensive jobs bill first proposed by President Obama. The legislation would create 1.9 million jobs nationwide,[1] including 11,100 Massachusetts jobs in transportation infrastructure work and up to 4,900 in school construction.[2] The package also would cut payroll taxes for Massachusetts families by an average of $1,830, cut payroll taxes for 140,000 Massachusetts businesses[3] and extend assistance to 123,000 long-term unemployed Massachusetts residents and 49,300 people looking for work who were in danger of losing their benefits.[4] The bill’s benefits are fully paid for by imposing a 5.6 percent [5] surtax on modified adjusted gross incomes over $1 million. That tax would affect only a fraction of one percent of all Massachusetts taxpayers, people whose average annual income is $2.2 million a year.

Again...Brown can run all the ads he wants. Talk is cheap. His votes relect something very different from his ads.

Scott Brown is running for US Senate.  Warren is running against "Republicans".  She is running against the Boehner and Romney...and the faceless party...surely not Scott Brown.

When is she going to get a focus ?   On second thought, let's hope she doesnt

Thanks for your input...... from Vermont. How about you mind your own business with Senators Leahy and Sanders and then tell us flatlanders how to vote? Unless, of course, this is your "profession".

Good for you, mean_willie. Well said!

Elizabeth Warren is tying Sen Brown to his voting record.  He voted against job bills.  He promoted depriving women of proper health care through their insurance.  He diluted the Dodd-Frank Law by putting oversight payment on the backs of taxpayers instead of the industry.  He has an 80% rating with anti-abortion groups at a national level and is backed by the largest anti-abortion group in Mass.  He has attacked Elizabeth Warren on her heritage by saying she does not look like a Native American and can provide no proof that she used her background for advancement.  This in the overwhelming testimony by her hirers that it played no part.  His attack on her work at Travelers is a total fabrication.  Victims' lawyers uphold Warren as an advocate for asbestos victims.  She engineered a legal construct so they could be pain faster, more equitably, with discovery, and into the future.  Scott Brown is a lawyer and should have been aware of the falsehoods he was telling.  It is disconcerting as a Senator he does not know that oil in priced in the world market and is not dependent on intra-country pipelines.  He is an actor in the theatre of the absurd and seems to have little scruples is hurling charges that have no basis.

Will 51% of the voters believe him? That is my concern. Bush/Cheney sure bamboozled people.

Scott is running from the R next to his name.

l'il scotty...the boy senator is shameless. This....the guy who first went running to mitch mcconnel and the republican saboteurs who forgot what our country could really use....bipartisanship....for a jihad to make President Obama a one term president. YOU....who contemplate voting for this fraud are only further increasing the likelihood that we will continue to sink nationally and internationally because these republican goons...of which l'il scotty is a member despite his lies and pretensions...have anything to do with where our country is going. If you are sick of the republican/tea party bs that has prevailed for the last four years then don't vote for brown....simple as that. If you believe it is not right to vote for a guy whose campaign took contributions from the koch brothers....who made money by keeping energy costs high and have no problem with $4.00/gal PLUS oil prices this winter in New England....then don't vote for brown. If you believe brown has been a bipartisan force in DC....then vote for him with the understanding that you will only see him here in Massachusetts when he needs your vote....otherwise, he is caucusing with a group of legislators whose mantra is party first, country second. Massachusetts deserves a lot better than a poor actor in a prop truck and wardrobe....

" the boy Senator is shameless" Wish we could make that up into a bumper sticker.

Scott Brown is targeting clueless voters. If only more voters were as aware as those who commented on this post.

He's hoping that enough voters wil fall for the "bipartisan" ruse and his false accusations against Warren, his claim to be pro-choice etc.

He's also hoping the truck and barn jacket  will work as well as they did in the special election.

1.3% GDP growth. Yea, vote for a dem as their policies have done wonders.

New orders for long-lasting U.S. manufactured goods in August fell by the most in 3-1/2 years,

But vote for Harry Reid and Obama
