Black clergy in Boston endorse Warren

Brown’s heritage attacks seen as divisive

Some of Boston’s most prominent African-American ministers put their support behind Elizabeth Warren Thursday and denounced Senator Scott Brown’s attacks on her purported Native American heritage, saying the issue has become a divisive distraction from more pressing concerns about poverty and violence.

Some of the ministers had strong words for Brown, part of what appeared to be a growing backlash among Warren supporters to Brown’s strategy of driving the charged issue in the campaign.

Brown is a lightweight, and a nasty one at that.

how about Elizabeth Warren claiming that small business owners didn't build it....but how would she know...everything was given to her and Pres. Obama who didn't build anything but used affirmative action to get where they are & the race card.

Listen Beans, a woman who marries in her late teens and has a child at 19 and continues to go to school and work.  Yes she had her own private law office.  Someone is feeding you Heritage Foundation claptrap.  She was already an accomplished person when her name was put in a little used directory.  It was printed in the Globe and what was most revealing is that she was one of 13 women on a faculty of 83.  Do you think she cross dressed too?

Of course they support her just like they supported the thieving felons Wilson and Turner. Fellow democrats who rob and cheat the people they are sworn to protect. I wonder did she tell them she was with the Swahili tribe? These ministers should be doing something to stop all the killings in Boston.

Your mother should wash your mouth out with soap.  However don't worry Sen Brown will tickle you on your wrists and you can continue your slander unfettered.

Why not? She is a woman of color, isn't she?

white counts?

It is obvious that Elizabeth colors her hair. As a first generation Latino/Mayan/Gallego immigrant, I find it offensive that anyone believes her story.

BTW Brown is not attacking Elizabeth's family just her credibility.Elziabeth should check the Dawes Rolls. that date back to the early 1900. If any of her anscestors are listed in the Dawes rolls, she is a Cherokee by US law otherwise she is a fake.

My mother once told me that her grandfather had been 23rd in line to the Spanish throne. Unfortunately, 23rd does not cut the mustard so immigrated to work as an engineer in the construction of the Panama Canal where my mother was born. My mother met my father who was ~1/2 Mayan and 1/2 Welch and I was born.

Should I lay claim to the Spanish throne? or A Spanish land grant of Mayan land?

I do not thing so. I just work long hours, pay my taxes and entertain myself watching Mumbles Menino and his band of African-American fools be taken in by profressor Elizabeth who wants to be known as a Cherokee Woman.

go figure, they love affirmative action and someone that lied to use it is their choice?

How many black mothers did Liz Warren cut in-line in-front of, illegally checking the minority box when she is self-admittedly 31/32 white???!?!?!?  These guys are killing their own credibility with the rest of us.

Not quite time to put a fork in Sen Brown but it is getting close.

Gene Rivers has absolutely no following in the black community and he hasn't picked a winner in years. Advantage Brown.

No one ought to be surprised: African Americans have long stopped voting for the political candidates who will provide them with a ladder out of their poverty & violence.

If Warren were a Republican and Brown a Democrat, who do you think would win the electionl. Brown in a landslide.

Yes, and every day the Boston Globe would lecture us on the evils of undermining affirmative action and taking the benefits reserved for those who have actually suffered discrimination.

A Democrat will vote for another one. It doesn't matter if the person is a criminal, lies, lacks integrity, or non-productive or disliked or what-ever: It is, what it is. That is the only reasoning that explains Democrats supporting Tierney and Kerry for many years & now Warren.

When they endorsed the fraudulent liar Liz Warren, they trashed their own credibility with the rest of us.  She can't be 31/32 white and legally claim to be a minority!  It is not legal.  You would think these guys, of all people, would understand that and understand her true sin here!  Shame on them!!

Haven't I corrected you before on this ;-) Liz Warren is 32/32 white. The geneologist that claimed to find evidence that would make her 1/32nd Native American retracted it, then the Boston Globe retracted. She has nothing but family lore and high cheekbones for proof. She also doesn't meet the second requirement to claim it, which is currently participating in the Native American community. She runs from Native Americans, as evidenced by her refusal to meet with them at the DNC (both national and state) when they wanted to talk.

Warren is such a typical patronizing liberal. The not-so-big secret is that this group has low influence among the community they claim to advise. They have done a great job at highjacking politicians, in particular white liberals into thinking they have juice.

The Ministers certainly would not endorse Liz Warren if she faked that she was of African-American heritage. There are not a sufficient number of Native Americans in Massachusetts to have the political clout to call Liz Warren out for ethnic identity theft. Thus, Liz Warren can get away with her lies and steal the faculty spot of an authentic woman of color. The Minister are making fools of themselves by ignoring the fact that Liz is fraudulently using affirmative action to get ahead. As the article mentions, Mayor Menino got to the Ministers (who represent no one but themselves and their inflated egos.
