The state’s hotly contested race for the US Senate came to East Boston on Sunday afternoon, as Republican incumbent Scott Brown and his Democratic challenger, Elizabeth Warren, both marched in the city’s annual Columbus Day parade.
Separated only by the UMass Lowell marching band, the rivals greeted supporters along the route as their aides and volunteers tried to pump up the crowd by chanting slogans and passing out campaign paraphernalia.

Scott Brown has the guts and brains to take on the Democratic Party machine that has make life difficult for taxpayers who work in the dreaded private sector.
How have the democrats made life difficult for private sector employees? Medicare? Social security? A rational foreign policy unlike the Bush presidency re: Iraq and Afganistan? You may be a great guy but you cannot be an enlightened voter. I do wish you well, this is a great country and I am sure we both are proud Americans. Let's hope for a sane and bipartisan government no matter who wins in November.
Be careful consumer advocates what you wish for. Remember we as tax payers in the end pay for increased regulations. I'm tired of having my pocket picked by overboard regulations that are supposed to help us. for example they increased regulations on credit cards but interest rates on them soared when the law passed. The ones it helped were ones who didn't pay on time to begin with. Sorry why should i be paying for people who don't take responsability for their own actions.

In response to people who think the credit card companies and mortgage companies need to go back to the less regulated times before the Consumer Financial Protection Agency, here is a link to an explanation why Elizabeth Warren, who teaches contract law and has done lots of research and interviews of people who have filed for bankruptcy, knows that we need to make sure banks can't change the rules in the middle of a contract. You choose a Michael Moore interview of Warren to encourage people to vote for her? Seriously, a Michael Moore interview? Do you know what's missing from that interview, questions about an individual's personal responsibility for their own decisions. NO ONE, held a gun to any consumers head and told them you must accept this credit card and go on a spending spree that you can't afford to pay back or you must finance your home for more than you can afford to pay back. I took out an 5/1 adjustable rate mortgage in 2003 because it was nearly 200 basis points less than the 30 year fixed rate and today I'm paying 2.6% on that same loan. That's what the attraction was to ARM's that so many people took out. It borrowers aren't smart enough to figure out what is best for them, why are the financial markets to blame? If ou can't figure out that paying 23% on an unpaid credit card balance is prohibitive, then don't buy stuff you can't afford to pay for. Liz Warren can only look backwards and try to score points by changing what happened in the past and to blame banks and businesses for he poor choices made by consumers. We are responsible for our own decisions and we should be rewarded when we make the right one and we should the suffer the consequences of the wrong decisions that we make. Please don't vote for this fraud.

You don't see them checking the box and using it to take opportunity away from those it was intended for! Liz Warren has never had to meet payroll and never been a state rep. Elizabeth Warren is an accomplished woman who has written a dozen books. Most are widely respected academic texts but several are best sellers for general trade. Have you read them? Have you read anything.
