The state medical examiner’s office said the cause of death for a Rhode Island woman whose body was found inside an overturned car in Newport Harbor was drowning. The bodies of Jennifer Way of North Kingstown, Louise Owen of Wales of the United Kingdom, and Femmetje Staring of the Netherlands were found in the overturned car Friday morning. All were 39 years old and worked in the luxury yachting industry. The Newport Daily News reported on Monday that a spokeswoman for the medical examiner’s office said autopsies are still being performed on Owen and Staring.
