Harvard’s student Voice apologizes for remarks

Magazine posting stereotyped Asians

A magazine published by students at Harvard College has issued an apology for controversial remarks about students of Asian descent that appeared on the publication’s website over the weekend.

The material first appeared on the blog of the Harvard Voice in a posting entitled, “5 People You’ll See at Pre-Interview Receptions,” which poked fun at the “well-suited career men and women” seeking to land jobs at prestigious firms.

This story - obviously a Globie out to prove some bigotry at that great educational institution across that glorious Charles River - does not define a very significant term. It seems to allow the lumping together of various groups of ethnicities. Once again the Boston Glob, a self-wanting newspaper of some kind of record or other, falls flat in its coverage of an issue that it wants to make into trouble.

Why are we surprised that that a one percenter student would see the world in stereo?

More PC baloney.

Show some spine Harvard. Jeesh, I just can't imagine how we got stuck with the highly incompetent Obama... what, with all this touchy-feely garbage it's no wonder somebody so unqualified for the job got the job anyway... Harvard continues to embarrass us as it kills America.

We've lost our sense of humor. It was obviously satirical and we should be able to laugh at ourselves. There's a difference between hate speech and kidding around. Should I get all upset over every comment about Italians? I think not.

I had reservations about posting this because I don't want to be connected with the sometimes heinous views of previous posters, but I have a mind of my own as any liberal should.
